Reynaldo was born in Tangerang, Indonesia on 29th July 1996. He started learning music since the age of
10 with a private tutor in Singapore weekly. He moved to Singapore during kindergarten and came back
to Indonesia at the start of his high school year. Rey finished his study in Conservatory of Music Pelita
Harapan University majoring in Sound design and music production in June 2022 and graduated with a
Bachelor of art/music. He took contemporary piano as his major instrument and finished one thesis and
final contemporary piano recital. Rey has also completed ABRSM classical piano practical exams from
grade 1 to 8, which he passed all of them. He took ABRSM theory from grade 1 to 5 and passed all of
them.
During his secondary/middle school years, Rey joined his school’s guitar ensemble and participated and
played in events such as Singapore Youth Festival guitar ensemble and won a silver medal and also
performed in many school events. In his university, Rey joined the university’s choir and performed in the
Bali International Choir Festival, in which the choir won a silver and gold medal in two categories. In the
later years of university Rey found an interest in teaching and started to get an experience as a
classical/contemporary piano teacher and a children’s choir teacher.
Currently, Rey is studying at Australian Institue of Music (AIM), in Sydney, in the masters of music
course majoring in classical piano performance. He started recently on February 2023, and has already
signed up to be the pianist for an ensemble group in the campus. He is looking forward to completing 4
recitals in the upcoming two years as requisite for completing the masters of music program.
